Covid-19 Update

Continuation of Essential Business Operations

Dear valued customers;

We are writing this letter as the Corona Virus COVID-19 continues to create uncertainties in our businesses and our daily lives.  We want you our customers to know our focus remains clear.  We will continue to do everything feasible to provide equipment, parts and services so that you so that you can fulfill your vital role during the current pandemic. To date, governors in a variety of states have issued non-essential business closure orders. However, in each of those instances that we have analyzed, Trans-Tec’s role has fit squarely into the “essential” business exception and we are continuing our operations with this in mind.

On March 19, 2020, the Department of Homeland Security issued a Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers during Covid-19 Response. The stated intent of the Memorandum was “to help State and local officials as they work to protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security.” Homeland Security expressly included in its listing of essential operations “Manufacturers and distributors (to include service centers and related operations) of … supplies needed to support manufacturing, packaging, staging and distribution operations.” Thus, according to the federal government, Trans-Tec America is considered essential to our nation’s security and must continue to provide its products, parts, and services throughout the coming months.

Trans-Tec America is an Arizona-based international distributor, seller, renter, and servicer of  Factory Automation Equipment to the Electronics Manufacturing Industry. In other words, we distribute, sell, and service parts and equipment of the type used in every phase of electronics manufacturing and production. Without the equipment that our industry provides and services, the country’s medical, telecom and defense products needed to survive daily life and defend our nation do not get to the people who need them.

Please keep in mind that while we remain functional we may not always be at full capacity in each department. As such there may be delays in some aspects of every day functions (i.e. shipping, receiving, payables etc.)  Please remain patient with us as we work to keep you supplied with the goods and services you require.

Ensuring the health and safety of our workers is paramount. Direct visits to customer facilities will be postponed and rescheduled except under the most critical of circumstances. We have adjusted our policies and procedures and are adhering to social distancing guidelines set forth by the CDC and WHO.

Sincerely,
